Information we collect

When you use Berkeley Cupids, we collect the following information:

• Berkeley email address (used to verify you're a Berkeley student, deliver one-time login codes, and send your match result).
• Survey responses, including the name you provide in the survey.

Based on this information, we generate match results and send you the result via email and this website.

Who can see your information

• Your match will only receive the limited information we include in the match result message (your name, email, and an optional note you write). They will not receive your full raw responses.
• Berkeley Cupids may access raw survey and account data only as needed to operate, debug, and administer the service.
• We do not share raw survey responses or participant lists, and we do not provide access to raw data to anyone else.

Service providers and sharing

We use third-party service providers to operate Berkeley Cupids:

• Resend (to send login codes and match results).
• Supabase (to store survey responses and match-related data).

We do not sell your personal information.

We retain information for at most one year, or until you request deletion. Information is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with our service providers.
